Discovering his father’s classic Pentax Spotmatic set in motion Gloucestershire-raised Tom’s journey with photography. In 2004, after graduating from the Photography BA course at Falmouth College of Arts (now Falmouth University), Tom headed to London to embark on a career as a professional photographer. Working with empathy and calm assertion, Tom aims to capture the essence of his subjects – figures from the worlds of entertainment, finance, sport and beyond.

Many of the people he shoots are icons in their fields, such as the late architect Lord Richard Rogers, former England international Rio Ferdinand and ITV CEO Dame Carolyn McCall. Other subjects, while lesser known, have also made a positive impact in their chosen professions. His work has been commissioned for organisations including Blockchain, City of London and PlayStation UK as well as BNP Paribas Real Estate and CBRE. When not working on commissions, Tom uses his lens to study humanity and nature. Through his personal projects, he has photographed young Muay Thai fighters, followed football fans across the world, and captured the marvel of rivers in Europe. His personal work has been viewed at the National Portrait Gallery, in Creative Review and in the independent style publication, the Green Soccer Journal.
